Meet Sharon

Sharon Balthis, MS-RN is a British Columbia, Canada native. British Columbia is known around the world for its natural beauty, friendly people and healthy living standards.Sharon graduated from Otterbein University with a Bachelors of Science in the Nursing program. Upon earning her Ohio Registered Nursing licensure, she worked in medical-surgical nursing and eventually specialized in wound and ostomy nursing. Upon completion of a Masters Degree, Sharon focused her nursing career on healthcare administration and education. Her passion for teaching and empowering people through education was shared as an adjunct faculty member at Columbus State Community College for many years. Throughout her teaching years Sharon enjoyed helping and encouraging students with their career path. Sharon shares her wealth of natural wellness knowledge and keen intuition at her private, holistic nursing practice in Westerville, Ohio; Tofino Wellness Center, llc. Her intuition could best be described as a unique ability to listen and understand how ones body, mind and spirit strive for wellness, naturally. Sharon has a passion for sharing resources and information on health and natural wellness. Her practice is based on the premise that we are supposed to feel good and live vibrant, healthy lives.Upon receiving multiple requests and suggestions from friends, family and clients Sharon is writing a book on the subject of natural health and healing. Q: What type of colon hydrotherapy equipment do you have in your office? A: Dotolo - Toxygen Model BSC-UV which is a state of the art, professional colonic irrigation device registered with the FDA. It will cleanse the entire colon (number of sessions to be determined) using filtered water. The device is a "closed system" which provides a comfortable procedure while maintaining the dignity of the client. There is no open evacuation (this is a "closed" system) and no offensive odors or mess. There is no repeated getting up and down. It is a therapist assisted device which provides effectiveness, comfort and most importantly, safety. The client simply lies down and relaxes throughout the course of the session.Q: What is your scheduling/cancellation policy?A: On-line scheduling is provided for your convenience. A minimum 48 hour notice is required for appointment cancellations and/or rescheduling. With less than 48 hour notice, the cancellation fee is equal to the fee of the scheduled service(s). Refunds include a $5.00 processing fee.Q: Is your facility semi-private?A: Yes. Our semi-private entrance is located on the right side of the building. Look for directional signage on the front porch of the building. Typically the only person you encounter at your visit is Sharon (the nurse). The waiting room is private. Q: Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?A: Yes, on occasion. Please email us regarding your request.Q: Is your office clean and professional?A: Yes. You will find our office to be a beautiful, clean and professional spa-like atmosphere. Q: What can I expect to feel during the colonic session? A: This is a gentle process. Generally, people experience mild abdominal cramping. The water temperature is set to the individual's internal body temperature. The filling water pressure is operated from a minimum pressure of 1/4 psi (monitored by a pressure gauge). The temperature and water flow are all completely controlled by the Nurse and operated at a very comfortable setting. Q: Do you use disposable speculums and tubing?A: Yes, manufacture recommended disposable speculums and tubing is utilized in this office.Q: Is the water filtered?A: Yes, the device has a built-in water treatment system. The patented three stage system will remove particulate matter, reduce the amount of chlorine and, with the use of Ultraviolet light, destroy 99.9% of bacteria and viruses that may be in the water.
